The Wayne Oak Hills Zone Fall Rally will be held Saturday, October 26, at Salem Lutheran Church (32430 Ann Arbor Trail, between Merriman and Farmington). Registration will begin at 9 a.m. with opening devotions starting at 9:30. After devotions and a brief meeting, we will make fleece blankets for the residents of Lutheran Woods, an assisted living and nursing care home in Livonia. The rally will be finished by 12 p.m. All women of SOTC are invited and encouraged to attend. For those who are attending the event at St. John’s, it will be just fine if you leave a little early.
October is designated as Pastor Appreciation Month. The Women’s League will have a special coffee hour for Pastor Dupre to recognize him for his ministry and service. Feel free to send cards or letters to him throughout the month or bring them to the coffee hour on Sunday, October 27.

Through a donation, the Board of Trustees now has an electric wheelchair that is in good shape. Shadow of the Cross members can borrow it for a short time as needed. If you are thinking of taking someone to a park or zoo or somewhere else, it will be a blessing to have. Contact the church office to make arrangements.

A group of prayer warriors has been formed to pray for the needs of congregation members and friends. The group meets at 11 a.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month in the church.
IF YOU are not attending, YOU are missing a great opportunity that we all should take to receive a blessing and to be a blessing to others. Please don’t miss out!
Come learn and become more comfortable with praying aloud for others.
To submit prayer requests, write your request on one of the cards near the wooden box in the narthex and place it in the slot on top. You may sign your name or remain anonymous. Merlin Fields leads the prayer journey.
