Studying Christianity Differently

Hi SOTC Family!

I am happy to share this Christian Education PowerPoint with everyone. This is an original education presentation created for my art high school students. I have modified it for the church family. I thought you might enjoy something a little different with studying Christianity. Enjoy! Margo Dupre

Follow-Up From Shadow of the Cross Serving Communion on May 10, 2020

The process of Communion on Mother’s Day ran like a well-oiled machine.  The church was sanitized beforehand, there were hand-sanitizing stations, and the church was marked off for social distancing.  Pastor Dupre and the elders did an excellent job serving communion.  Although we know that our Triune God is everywhere, I am sure it was an awesome feeling to be back in the House of God again. I am happy to report we had 72 people in attendance for communion on Mother’s Day.  We serve an awesome God!

COVID-19 Update

Romans 12:12 “Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer.”

James 5:7-8 “Therefore, brothers, be patient until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth and is patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains. You also must be patient. Strengthen your hearts, because the Lord’s coming is near.”

Dear Shadow of the Cross,

I know you are wondering when we will be re-opening the church. I know that many of you are anxious to get back into our regular routine of worship. I also know that all of the governor’s restrictions do not apply to churches.

Even so, each church’s leadership council must assess the risk to its own congregation of opening too soon. Our leadership will be meeting virtually next week to discuss this and other matters. Until further notice, please be patient and remain in prayer.

The peace of the Lord be with you   -Rev. Brian Dupre, Pastor, SOTC

Remember – even in this pandemic God is with us and has everything in His hands, by His power and under His control. Be brave and very courageous, but not risky or foolish.

ALL worship services and scheduled activities at Shadow of the Cross have been canceled until further notice.
