Keep minding the advice given by doctors and the health departments. Our actions can help keep the virus from spreading. Our hope and confidence is in Jesus, who is truly everywhere watching over his flock. In all of this, we remember again that we live in Christ. Jesus said not to worry, worry won’t add one second to our lifespan. So let’s use caution, follow good advice, and trust Him.
Scripture says: 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
Remember – even in this pandemic God is with us and has everything in His hands, by His power and under His control. Be brave and very courageous, but not risky or foolish.
Please mail or send electronically your tithes and offerings to the church office.

Interested in adorning the altar with flowers for a weekend? Use the flower chart in the Narthex to sign up. You can purchase the altar flowers in celebration of an event, in memory of someone, or just because. Your message will be added to the bulletin for that weekend. The cost is $50 for two vases or $25 for one. Please make your check out to Springbrook Gardens Florist, place the check in one of the envelopes located below the flower chart, and then put the envelope in Deborah Quarles’ mailbox in the hallway.
The Parish Nurses are available to check your blood pressure every 4th Sunday after the worship service. If you feel you need your blood pressure checked on any other Sunday, please feel free to ask any of the nurses (Dorothy McClure, Deborah Quarles and Elder Ellis Threadcraft).
During these difficult times dealing with COVOD-19 and people being out of work, we are in need of donations. The SOTC Outreach Ministry is collecting gently used clothing, toiletries and potted meat items (nonperishable and no glass). Items can be placed in the labeled container in the Narthex.
For more information contact Direct questions to Jackie Banks or Pastor Dupre.
Through a donation, the Board of Trustees now has an electric wheelchair that is in good shape. Shadow of the Cross members can borrow it for a short time as needed. If you are thinking of taking someone to a park or zoo or somewhere else, it will be a blessing to have. Contact the church office to make arrangements.
Merlin Fields leads the Saturday intercessory prayer session and the small group study that instructs attendees on how to be everyday missionaries, by working through the Joining Jesus on His Mission book.
