Body, Soul & Spirit Ministry continues to spearhead a tee shirt sale as part of Shadow of the Cross’s spirit wear – this is an ongoing endeavor.
The shirts are $15, with a discount for a family with 4 or more members, and for toddlers. Proceeds go to the church. Please see any member of the Body, Soul & Spirit Ministry for more information or call the church office (248-474-0675).
Order forms for the tee shirts are also located on the table in the Narthex.
The Visually Impaired Outreach Ministry has now expanded into Oakland
Every fourth Thursday of each month, the group comes together for Bible
Study, lunch and fellowship, in the lunchroom, beginning at 10:30 a.m. The next gathering will be on February 27.
Volunteers are needed.
The Sunday School Christmas Program will be held on Sunday, December 15, immediately following the worship service. Please stay to support our youth. Rehearsal for this program will occur on Saturday, December 14, at 1:30 p.m.
Shadow of the Cross offers children two Sunday School sessions to meet their family’s Sunday morning schedule.
The first opportunity occurs during the 9:45 a.m. worship service. Children are dismissed following Confession and Absolution.
The second opportunity starts at 11 a.m., during the adult Bible class that follows the worship service, in the Sunday School rooms. Children are taught Bible stories and Bible songs, and Veggie Tales are used to assist in storytelling. Crafts and playtime are also offered.
MOTOR CITY MEALS is an organization that goes out to feed the homeless. Our own Cheryl Johnson makes up meals for them to distribute. They feed about 60 people a week. If you would like to help, they could use the following items:
* Cases of bottled water
* Snacks (granola bars, fruit bars, cookies, crackers, etc.)
* Meat for Cheryl to cook
* Men’s and women’s underwear
* Sample-size hygiene items
* Feminine hygiene products
Cash is always accepted, and tax donation forms are available. You can place your donations in the plastic bin near the bottle collection can (however, please place any meat donations in the refrigerator and label the package “MCM”). If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Cheryl – she’d be happy to talk to you about this special ministry.
St. Pauls just released a new online giving system today! Off to the right of the church website, you’ll notice you can click “Give Now.” That link will let you submit your offering via Credit Card / Debit Card or setup re-occurring transfers from a bank account. We’re trying to draw attention to some outstanding expenses the church has and hope that this will assist with those.
We also hope this brings convenience to our parishioners and would ask that you check it out today!
